No! You are NOT too old to enjoy sex and learn how to climax. You’re not too old at all! But you haven’t had sex in 20 years, so you’re out of practice and may benefit from having your thinking about sex refreshed.

First, I urge you to purchase the book Becoming Orgasmic by Julia Heiman and Joseph LoPicollo. This is the classic self-help book that teaches women how to climax. Available from Amazon.

Next, I suggest that you buy my low-cost e-book, available on this site, which contains more than 100 articles about all aspects of sexuality–including a few chapters about how no one is ever too old.

Finally, from your question, I infer that you feel uncertain about getting serious with the man who’s pursuing you in part because of your orgasm issue. If that’s the case, then in addition to obtaining Becoming Orgasmic, I urge you, either by yourself or with your man, to consult a sex therapist. Sex therapists have an excellent track record of helping women learn to have orgasms, so a therapist could assist you in the Becoming Orgasmic program. In addition, a sex therapist could help you and your man enjoy sex together despite the fact that you haven’t had sex in quite a while. If you’re not familiar with sex therapy, I suggest you read the chapter in my e-book on it, or see the movie “Hope Springs” with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. To find a sex therapist near you, visit the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, or the American Board of Sexology.

But rest assured, you’re NOT too old for wonderful sex and you CAN learn to have orgasms.

    Best of luck!
