You haven’t provided any specifics so all I can do is offer some general suggestions.

In young men, performance anxiety is often actually TRANSITION anxiety having to do with the transition from just solo sex to partnered lovemaking. Self-sexing and partner lovemaking are both “sex,” but the two are as different as shooting a basketball by yourself and playing the team game. In partner sex, you have to negotiate frequency and repertoire. You have to please your partner, which takes coaching, and coach your partner how best to please you. It’s complicated—and anxiety provoking. Many young men worry about their performance, when actually they’re concerned about partner sexuality in general.

In older men, performance anxiety is usually tied up with sex problems: their own premature ejaculation, erection issues, or difficulty coming, or their lover’s problems with arousal and orgasm.

Finally, in every age group, performance issues often have to do with drug use—primarily overindulgence in alcohol, the world’s #1 sex killer, but also many other drugs.

The best way to deal with performance anxiety is to become more comfortable with lovemaking in general. Unfortunately, most men grow up with little real lovemaking education, so they fall back on porn, which teach sex all wrong. My humble suggestion: Read my low-cost e-book, Enjoy the Best Sex of Your Life. Its 135 chapters discuss all aspects of sexuality, including every issue I just mentioned. My e-book carries a money-back guarantee through PayPal so it’s risk-free.

    I wish you great—anxiety-free—sex.
