Does having an imperforate hymen make you unable to have sex?

    Maybe.

First, are you sure you—or the woman you’re involved with—has an imperforate hymen? I suggest seeing a doctor or gynecologist to be sure. If it’s imperforate to the point where tampon insertion or intercourse would be difficult or impossible, then minor surgery can snip away some hymenal tissue to allow them. See a doctor.
