The Best Vibrator For You

Hi Michael. Great website! My question: In sex therapists’ blogs, a majority say that only approximately 25% of women can orgasm through intercourse (penetration). When I have sex with my wife, she orgasms every time when I’m penetrating her in the missionary position, but  with me deep insider her, but she’s stationary and gyrating her hips. Does this mean that her gyration is actually stimulating her clitoris and that’s how she’s able to climax? In other words, is it still possible that a woman can climax with penetration because somehow her clitoris is still being stimulated?

Yes, she’s clearly among the 25% of women who are consistently orgasmic during vaginal intercourse. Your particular variation on the missionary position doesn’t change that. You’re inside her and she comes every time.

It’s quite possible that your combination of deep insertion and her hip gyrations is what’s enabling her orgasms. It’s also possible that other elements contribute. Your pubic bone may jut out more than most, providing more direct clitoral stimulation. Or her clitoris may be a bit larger than most or stand out more than most, and receive more stimulation. Or her upper vaginal lips may retract more than most, exposing more of her clit. Whatever the reasons, she’s orgasmic during intercourse. Enjoy it.

For the record, 25% of women are consistently orgasmic during vaginal intercourse. About half are sometimes orgasmic that way. Around 20% rarely have orgasms during intercourse. And about 5% never do.

I wish you continuing great sex.
