Why does my boyfriend sometimes have to stop during sex and go pee?

I see two possibilities. It’s either a personal idiosyncrasy or possibly a medical issue. The bladder is part of the genito-urinary tract, meaning it’s closely allied with the genitals. When the genitals become sexually aroused, it’s possible your bf’s bladder also gets excited, making him feel the urge to urinate. But I’ve never previously heard of this. There’s probably nothing medically wrong, but just in case it’s more than personal uniqueness, I suggest he visit his doctor or urologist for a consultation, exam, and maybe some tests.
