I’m a married man, and recently I met a woman who became my girl friend. We met at a hotel and she wanted to have sex but I could not do it—no erection. I have not had sex with anyone else other than my wife in my whole life. I enjoy sex so much. What made that happen? Can you tell me the reason?

Here’s my educated guess. You were so anxious about cheating on your wife that you could not raise an erection. The physiology of erection is very sensitive to anxiety. When men feel relaxed, erections rise. When men feel stressed or anxiety-stricken, they may not. You said this was the first time you’d followed through on infidelity. I’m guessing you felt conflicted about it and the anxiety engendered by your emotional turmoil suppressed your erection.
Cheating is very temporary, no matter how long it lasts. If you are the cheater, and the ‘other people’ do not know…it might last longer, but not long enough. People cheat for many reasons, (I cheat because ________.) Fill In The Blank.
If you cheat or have thought about it…please don’t hurt anyone in the process. That sounds like good advice, and it is, but you hurt yourself, your family, your fiance, and the person you might cheat with. It’s not worth it.
