I feel for you. But you haven’t provided much information, so I don’t know what’s really going on with you and your husband sexually. Can he raise erections during masturbation? Could he raise erections before you started trying to conceive? Is he diabetic? A smoker? An alcoholic? Does he take blood pressure medication or antidepressants? Has he tried erection drugs? I wish I had more information … but here are some suggestions:

My articles about erection problems may help. I suggest you read: Erection Myths and the Truth About Erections, Erectile Dysfunction—Causes, Erectile Dysfunction—Treatments, .

If he hasn’t tried Viagra or other erection drugs, he might try them. But don’t buy them on the Internet. See a physician and get a prescription filled at a pharmacy. Not every man can take erection drugs safely. A doctor can tell you if your husband can. Erections drugs sold on the Internet are usually bogus. Get a prescription and get the real drug at a pharmacy.

If he can raise erections during masturbation, then you might consider artificial insemination. He masturbates at a doctor’s office. The doctor injects you with the semen. Even if he can’t raise an erection in solo sex, infertility specialists have ways to extract semen from a flaccid penis. I urge you to consult an infertility specialist.

If he could raise erections before you started trying to get pregnant, he may feel so stressed by visions of parenthood that his erection have faltered. In that case I’d suggest consulting a sex therapist. To learn more about sex therapy, read my article. To find one near you, visit the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, or the American Board of Sexology.

If you tell me more about your situation, I may be able to offer additional suggestions. Good luck!
