I am 77 years young who had cyberknife radiation surgery for prostate cancer 12 years ago. Although my wife and I enjoyed mutual masturbation since that time (intercourse was increasingly more difficult), I have found that reaching orgasm has become increasingly more difficult until it has become very difficult or just about impossible. Even with this problem, I still enjoy intimacy. Any suggestions?

I’d suggest starting with my low-cost article, Orgasm/Ejaculation Difficulties: Can’t Get There? It presents a self-help version of the program sex therapists have developed to resolve this fairly common problem. The article may well be all you need.
However, given your age and medical history, it’s also quite possible that the article won’t provide sufficient relief. If things don’t improve in a few months, then I’d suggest that you and your wife consult a sex therapist for individualized coaching. If you’re unfamiliar with sex therapy, read my low-cost article, An Intimate Look at Sex Therapy or see the movie “Hope Springs” with Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. To find a sex therapist near you, visit the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, or the American Board of Sexology.
