It’s not always, but why do I sometimes bleed during sex and also after?

Without knowing a good deal more information, I can’t say why you sometimes bleed during and after sex, by which I presume you mean vaginal intercourse. There are many possible reasons, from medically minor (abrasion caused by vigorous intercourse without lubrication) to more problematic (a hormone imbalance causing spotting). First, I urge you to consult your physician or gynecologist to explore possible medical causes. Your doctor will ask: (1) when and how the problem began, (2) how often it happens, (3) how much you bleed, (4) any circumstances that seem associated with the problem, (5) whether it seems to be getting worse, or better, or staying the same, (6) your contraceptive method, if any, (7) your lubricant use, if any, and (8) anything else that you think might be connected to your situation. If your problem is not caused by a medical issue, let me know what your doctor said, and I’m happy to share my opinion. But first, consult your doctor or gynecologist.
