As you probably know, diabetes may damage the nerves involved in erection and reduce blood flow through the penis that also play a key role in erection. As a result, diabetic men are at higher-than-average risk for erection problems. But diabetes does not necessarily condemn you to erection problems. For more on this, read my article, Sex and Diabetes.

By “timing,” I presume you mean that you’re bothered by coming before you’d like to, or premature ejaculation, men’s most prevalent sex problem. Most men can cure themselves using the sex therapy program discussed in my article on the subject.

But the combination of diabetic erection impairment and premature ejaculation may be a bit too much for self-help to work. In that case, I’d recommend sex therapy. Sex therapists have helped many men in your situation discover ways to enjoy sex. For more on sex therapy, read my article on it. To find a sex therapist near you, visit the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, or the American Board of Sexology.
