I am 46. My erect penis is not as hard as it used to be in my 20s / 30s. Many times I am not able to maintain erection and my penis becomes limp during foreplay. Although I am able to get it back so as to penetrate. After penetration I do not have any problem. Is this normal for my age ?

Yes, your situation is normal. You don’t have erectile dysfunction (ED) but rather post-40 erection dissatisfaction, characterized by loss of firmness and balky erections that rise during sex and then wilt often inexplicably. Erection dissatisfaction is maddening because it represents a change from the firm, reliable erections most men enjoy until their forties. But it need not interfere with great sex if you evolve your lovemaking away from sex based on vaginal intercourse.
