These terms overlap. “Kink” refers to any sex play that is out of the ordinary, beyond what most people do, i.e., beyond: kissing, hugging, mutual massage, mutual handjobs, mutual oral sex, and vaginal intercourse.
“BDSM,” “leather,” and “fetishism” are different types of kink. BDSM is an acronym for bondage, discipline, and sado-masochism, that is power play, where one person, the dominant or dom, orders the submissive or sub what to do, and within the sub’s stated limits, may order the sub to submit to various kinds of physical sensations, including pain. For more about BDSM, see the chapter in my books, Sizzling Sex for Life.
“Leather” refers to people turned on by wearing or having a partner wear leather garments including pants, vests, harnesses, collars, etc.
In a sexual context, “fetishism” is a form of sexual gratification strongly linked to a particular object or activity or a part of the body other than the sexual organs. For example, a foot fetishist gets turned on by naked feet, and can’t get turned on without seeing or handling naked feet.
I hope this answers your questions. I wish you sizzling sex for life!
