Good evening. You wrote an article about the truth behind “too tight” vaginas and gave the two options that either a woman does not really want sex or she did not have enough warm-up time… if her vagina feels too tight.

I stumbled across your article because I was actually looking for advice on how to stretch a vagina in order to prepare not to be too tight. My muscles are under my full control and I can well distinguish between muscles that are tight and skin that is actually too tight. I face the second problem. The only sex without pain I ever had was with a guy with a really really small penis. All other times having sex caused me pain – no matter how wet I was, what we did before or how much I got turned on by my sex partner. And now it is even worse because I broke up with that small penis-owner and had a really long sex break and now even my menstruation cup hurts.

So is there any real advice how to stretch the vagina skin?

It would be great if you could help me out. Thank you.

Thank you for reading my article on “tight” and “loose” vaginas.

My advice: See your primary care physician or gynecologist promptly. It sounds to me like you might have a mild form of vaginismus, a condition in which the vaginal muscles go into spasm and close up tight. In severe cases, vaginismus makes intercourse and even tampon insertion impossible. Your situation isn’t that bad, but to me, it sounds like you have some type of vaginismus or a similar condition of tightly constricted vaginal musculature.

If you have vaginismus or something similar, treatment involves vaginal gradual insertion of a series of graduated cylinders—from pencil- to sausage-size—to stretch the muscles and relieve and spasming. But don’t try to do this yourself. See your doctor or gynecologist.
