I am 24 years and I have been masturbating for 8 years now. I don’t know if masturbation can affect me later, so please I need your help. Is it good to masturbate? I don’t want to have sex with a girl now, so what should I do?

No matter what parents, friends, and clergy may have told you, masturbation causes no physical or emotional harm. Feel free to keep doing what you’re doing, and even when you’re involved in a relationship, you still may want to. A substantial majority of coupled men continue to masturbate, and many coupled women do, too. The only situations where masturbation can cause harm are (1) if you spend so much time in solo sex that you neglect other important obligations (school, work, family, etc.), or (2) if a lover catches you and believes that it threatens the relationship.
