Hi Michael

I am a 50-year-old man with increasing ED. I take care of my health—no diabetes, no alcohol, maintain recommended weight. My only issue is borderline cholesterol. My sexual life was good until two years ago when my erections started to go, so I started to use ½ tablet of Cialis and get firm erections. I’ve also watched porn for 10 years or so.  I get good erections at the beginning of watching but then they fade away. Then a month ago, I was surprised that during intercourse I lost my erection and couldn’t ejaculate. Now I feel anxiety since I don’t get morning erections. Should I have a testicular test ? I feel pain on my testes.

If you feel testicular pain, consult a doctor promptly. Your pain is probably a big part of why you have more sex problems lately. Pain itself is sex-killing. And pain generates anxiety, also a sex-killer. See a doctor. Assuming that it can be diagnosed and treated successfully, then I suggest using a lubricant while you masturbate to porn. Lube enhances erotic touch and should help maintain your erections. Use lube during intercourse, too. You’re in the transition to older sex. Most men have the most sexual energy early in the day. If you make love late at night, try earlier. Give these suggestions a few months, and if you still need help, get back to me.
